Club competitions are held at club during normal club hours. They are free to club members and there trophies, medals, certificates and often prizes.

Ladder Night
Last night of each half term. The winner of the ladder gets to take home the trophy and a record of winners is kept on the hall of fame.
DW Epee Ratings Cup
Last two weeks of Summer Term. Held at Gwernyfed.
DW Sabre Ratings Cup
Last two weeks of Summer Term. Held at Carmarthen.
The ‘Ratings Cup’ is competition where fencers are awarded a points handicap, depending on factors such as how long they have been fencing; at what level they have competed; and if they have a ranking. (Or indeed if they are exceedingly tall or left handed, Meg has the power... Mwah Ha HA!)
The Dyfed Closed
‘Dyfed’ is a preserved county of Wales.
It covers the former Counties of Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Ddraig Wern have organised a team for the popular ‘Excalibur’ competition, which is a team event for all six weapons. This year we went one step further and organised a Dyfed championships, the results of which will be a strong influence on selection for the Excalibur team.
We are holding an U13 event at the same time.
