Ddraig Wern Gwernyfed was established in September 2006. It is a fun, welcoming club with a healthy local membership and enthusiastic members. |

In 2007 an U13 class was established for both epeeists and sabreurs. This smaller class specialising in two different weapons is unique to the area. These classes are taught by our club coaches, Meg and Phil Shepherd-Foster. During the 2007-8 season our juniors competed at the Welsh Youth Championships. No one came home without a medal. |

Our senior members (over 13s) has a broad membership. From teenagers to veterans we welcome all ages and all abilities. From September 2008 the club will be using the entire hall, making room for more group lessons and extra pistes. Individual lessons are available throughout the Senior session and included in the club fees. |

What makes us different? |

At Ddraig Wern Gwernyfed we believe that fencing is for everyone - and because of that Phil and Meg provide kit not only for steam fencing, but electric too! Kit can be hired free of charge for competitions and even breeches are available! |
