1) How do I book a stage-fighting workshop for my school or organisation?

Meg and Phil run a comprehensive stage-fighting workshop, teaching basic steps, attacks and parries. They can also teach students a stage-fighting sequence, choreographed by French Academy, ‘The Black Tulip. The complexity of the sequence taught depends on the age of students and the amount of time available. In order to learn the full sequence 3 hours is required. A choice of foam swords or practise foils is provided. Workshops start at £30. All kit and costs included.

2) Is it possible to run a taster session?
|

Ddraig Wern have their own kit, meaning they can come to you and run a fun taster session for all ages at any time or venue. Choose from the following:

Basic Taster. Time 1 hour. Coaches required, 1. Mini-Fencing or basic kit. A fun taster where basic steps and parries are taught. £30 - 35 (upto 20 students)

Basic Taster Plus. Time 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Coaches required, 1 - 2. Basic Kit. In addition to the basic steps and parries, there is the opportunity to put on the kit and fence one another. £45 - 60 (Upto 15 students) £90 - £120 (Upto 30 students)

Rolling Taster. Time 3 - 5 hours. A morning, afternoon, evening or all day session where the adults and children of all ages can ‘come and try it’. Small groups of 1 - 5 are taught the basic steps, hits and parries in full kit. There is then an opportunity to fence others. This is a great way of introducing a large number of people to the sport and works well at Summer Fairs, School Sports Days and Leisure Centre ‘Come and Try It’ sessions. Coaches required 1 - 2. Full Basic Kit Range.

Taster Courses Leading to BFA Foil Level 1.

Time seven 1 hour sessions.

A structured course which follows the BFA Foil Level 1 syllabus and leads to a formal certificate and badge issued by British Fencings governing body.
