Fencing is a fantastic sport because literally anyone can do it - and win! I’ve seen 60 year old grannies beat athletic 20 year olds and 6 year old boys beat experienced adults. It requires some co-ordination, point control, experience, skill, elegance, balance, speed, strength, patience and discipline, but not necessarily all at once. |

It doesn’t matter where the course is being held, all beginner kit is provided by Phil and Meg. We’ll do our best to accommodate intermediate and advanced fencers but we do ask serious fencers to consider buying breeches so that they can fence on the box. |

All of our Beginners Courses have been based on the standard BFA and BAF syllabus and can lead to an award from either governing body. |
|
|
|
The typical Ddraig Wern Course lasts for 5 or 6 weeks in order to coincide with the school terms. During half term or holidays we try to offer half-day/whole day or week long training camps instead, please contact us if you are interested. |
